My stay at The San Luis Resort was filled with wonderful service and amenities, though some areas did need improvement. The staff was exceptionally attentive, and I truly appreciated the warm welcome I received. However, the room decor felt a bit outdated compared to the hotel’s amenities.

Rooms
7.0
The room I stayed in was on the smaller side and had some decor that could use refreshing. The ocean view was not as impressive as I'd hoped. However, the cleanliness was maintained.
Service
9.0
The service was fantastic. From the front desk staff like Jenny to the room service team, everyone was attentive and genuinely friendly. I felt well taken care of during my stay.
Location
10.0
The resort’s location is a true gem. It's conveniently situated right across from the gulf and close to attractions like the Pleasure Pier, making it easy to explore the area.
Dining
9.0
Dining options within the resort were quite impressive. I enjoyed a good meal at the steakhouse, where the staff went above and beyond to ensure a wonderful experience.
Facilities

The pool area was lovely and inviting. though it felt a bit too warm for my taste. The overall facilities offered a great relaxed atmosphere for unwinding.

6.6/10

I found the San Luis Resort Spa & Conference Center to have beautiful grounds and a lovely view of the ocean, but my experience was marred by the high cost and some service issues. The $550 per night rate felt too steep for what was provided, especially with added fees for parking and amenities. While the pool was nice, it felt crowded and lacked shade unless you rented a cabana.

Rooms
6.0
My room was small and lacked a table for eating. I enjoyed the comfortable bed, but the bathroom was tight with minimal privacy from a sliding glass door. The fridge was too small and I had to pull it out to get it to cool properly.
Service
7.0
The staff was friendly and attentive, especially the bartender at the pool bar and the coordinator for the Villas. However, the lack of room service during our stay was disappointing, requiring me to request towels directly.
Location
9.0
The location is fantastic, just across the street from the beach with easy access to attractions like Pleasure Pier. I loved the views from my balcony, but it was pretty small.
Dining
6.0
Dining on-site had its pros and cons. I ordered food delivered to my room, which was decent, but prices at the hotel restaurants seemed inflated, especially for drinks.
Facilities
6.0
The facilities included a nice pool area, though it felt crowded. I noticed the slide was missing during my stay and the overall ambiance was a bit dated.

5.2/10

My stay at The San Luis Resort was really great, with a beautiful view of the Gulf and fantastic staff. Although my room had a few minor cleanliness issues, the amenities and service more than made up for it. The location was perfect, close to the beach and nearby attractions. Just a couple of hiccups during check-in, but overall, it was a nice experience.

Rooms
9.0
The room was spacious and clean upon arrival, but I noticed some peeling paint and a bit of mold around the tub. The balcony was a nice touch for enjoying the view, but it could use some attention to detail.
Service
10.0
Service throughout my stay was above and beyond. The staff was courteous, especially Zach at the front desk who handled my booking issue efficiently.
Location
10.0
The location is fantastic, right across from the beach and easy access to local attractions. The pool area, especially with the swim-up bar, was just perfect for relaxation.
Dining
10.0
I had room service for breakfast and dinner, and everything was delicious and timely. The kids' pancakes were a hit with my son, and the gumbo was heavenly!
Facilities
9.0
The facilities were well-maintained, and the pool was lovely and warm even in cooler weather. There were minor issues with the elevators being slow, though.

My stay at The San Luis Resort was a mixed bag. While the location and amenities were spot on, the service and room conditions left a lot to be desired. I encountered several issues that took away from the overall experience, including maintenance problems and cleanliness concerns. However, the dining options were absolutely good! 🍽️🌟

Rooms
5.0
I had to experience multiple room changes due to issues like a filthy pull-out bed, malfunctioning air conditioning, and a clogged bathtub. It detracted significantly from my stay.
Service
5.0
While I did come across a few friendly staff members, my overall interaction regarding room issues felt lacking. I was often met with excuses rather than resolutions.
Location
8.0
The resort's location is great, right on the seawall, offering stunning views and access to the beach. However, the building could benefit from better wheelchair accessibility.
Dining
9.0
Dining was one of the high points of my stay; the food was fantastic, and the service was great, making for a pleasant atmosphere.
Facilities
6.0
Facilities like the pool and cabana were enjoyable, but the general maintenance of the hotel is in dire need of attention.

My stay at The San Luis Resort was a rollercoaster. While the service was friendly and attentive, the upkeep of the pool area and other facilities left a lot to be desired. The dining experience was a highlight with amazing food, but the slow service at times was frustrating.

Rooms
7.0
I found the room to be spacious and clean, but some areas felt a bit dated. Plus, I had some issues with noise from outside and no fridge for snacks.
Service
6.0
The staff were super friendly and really made an effort to make my stay pleasant. However, the wait times at the pool bar and restaurant were disappointing and felt overly long.
Location
6.0
The location was okay, but getting to the beach was inconvenient without a crosswalk. I wished for more direct access or amenities like beach chairs.
Dining
8.0
Dining was quite enjoyable; I loved the food at Blake’s Bistro! The burgers were delicious, though sometimes the service felt off and slow.
Facilities
5.0
The pool area was a letdown—small and frequently not the cleanest. It’s a bummer because I wanted to relax there more, but it felt crowded and dingy at times.
